From January 5 to 8, 2022, Intellias, a leading software engineering service provider and partner to the automotive OEM and suppliers, will showcase automotive software development services at CES 2022 in Las Vegas.

Intellias experts will show and discuss their capabilities in consulting, design, implementation, verification, and maintenance of automotive-grade software solutions. Technologies will cover embedded software development, cloud solutions, platform development, and the latest advancements in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Big Data.

Intellias experience with human-machine interface (HMI) solutions for the automotive industry includes building user experience and user interface solutions that reduce driver response times and improve human–vehicle interactions. At CES 2022, Intellias will showcase its developments for the booming gesture control and handwriting recognition market, which is expected to grow by over $600 million by 2022 compared to 2018. This growth will be driven primarily by new technologies such as machine learning and AI, as well as by the goal of enabling vehicle interactions that ensure minimal driver distraction.

In addition, Intellias will present a climate control solution developed to production readiness based on the IndiGO software platform launched by TomTom in November 2021. As a TomTom partner, Intellias received early access to the IndiGO platform. Design, engineering, and testing of the HMI solution were performed by Intellias in-house. With Intellias seamlessly integrated climate control app, drivers have complete control over the vehicle’s entire HVAC system in a particularly intuitive way, ensuring less distraction and safer driving.

Pedestrian tracking & collision prediction to enhance mobility safety

Another technology to increase driving safety is pedestrian tracking. After all, city populations are growing alongside the volume of traffic. Especially for more vulnerable road users such as pedestrians and cyclists, the consequences of vehicle collisions are often catastrophic. Recognizing this, Intellias has developed a pedestrian collision prediction module that combines machine learning, AI, and object detection without demanding additional technologies such as LiDAR. This makes it a cost-effective accelerator for developing advanced driver assistance solutions for increased road safety and an enabler of autonomous driving.

Self-stabilizing motorcycle proof-of-concept

Intellias will also demonstrate its expertise in sensor technology and data fusion in the form of a self-stabilizing motorcycle concept. Sensors detect the degree and velocity of a bike’s tilt so that actuators can counteract the imbalance by moving the handlebar to lift and stabilize the bike. This not only makes riding at slow speeds easier but allows a motorcycle to maneuver autonomously and without a rider.
